Uncle Jack and Mary Lou Nelson, Country Music performers 1930s through 1960s. Originally from Ohio, they were regular performers in Reading and Berks County, Pennsylvania for about ten years from the early 1940s until early 1950s. They were regulars at Himmelreich's Grove near Womelsdorf in western Berks County. This particular photo features Uncle Jack and Mary Lou and their band members, Tommy, Eddie, Slim Stuart, and Andy. Uncle Jack last performed in Berks County at the Reading Fair in 1971. (information from ebay auction)
